Denorex Treatment For Head Lice

Head lice are wingless creatures that often can be called and compared
with vampires as they also feed on human blood. Usually lice occur on
small school going children and in some cases even in adults. These
days, parents are becoming more concerned due to the excessive use of
pesticides and chemicals on their children's heads to kill lice. The
reason for that is this practice can have long term health effects.

But you do have better alternatives with no use of chemicals and
pesticides on your child's hair. You have the head lice Denorex
shampoo, which of late is gaining lot of importance world wide. With
the Denorex shampoo you can get rid of the lice in matter of days.
There are other treatments which even take a month to notice a minor
difference in the hair.

In this method however, you just need to mix antiseptic oils with
Denorex shampoo to kill the lice. Let's see a few steps through which
you can do that.

1) Comb your hair before you sleep: Before you decide to use Denorex
shampoo, you can comb your hair with a metal comb. The reason for metal
comb is because it is hard and won't break that easily like a plastic
comb. After combing thoroughly, when you notice lice fall, kill it
immediately or put your comb in a bottle of alcohol to kill the lice.

2) Apply the mixture to your hair: You can apply a mixture of neem oil
to your hair and leave it overnight. Lice like to grow in dry areas,
when you oil and water the hair, they tend to panic and run here and
there. Make sure to use enough to smother the lice.

3) Place a shower cap over the head: This is a very old and common
practice to place a shower cap on the head as it can prevent the oil
and more importantly the lice from escaping out. You can also place a
towel on your pillow cover. It can be quite uncomfortable and you may
want to scratch your hair often in the night, but try to avoid and
control your feelings. Don't forget to wear an old t shirt as well.

4) Use the Denorex shampoo correctly: When you don't follow
instructions then the effects can't take place. After you wake up,
throw the shower cap away and wash your towel separately in hot water.
Next, put the Denorex shampoo on your hair and don't' just rinse
immediately. DO NOT use denorex shampoo if you are allergic to any
substance in this shampoo. Before you use this shampoo please seek
advice form your doctor because some conditions such as: pregnancy,
allergies, use of other medications etc. can interact with Denorex
Shampoo

5) Put Vaseline on your ears and neck: You need to put them on your
ears and neck to prevent them from burning due to the chemicals from
Denorex. It is a good idea to have them ready before you use the
shampoo as you don't want to be running around searching for them when
your ears and neck start to burn.

6) Proper lathering: In the case of kids you can cover their hair with
a new shower cap for 10 minutes and 30 minutes for an adult. The reason
for 10 minutes for kids is due to the fact they may not tolerate as
much as an adult and may feel quite uncomfortable. After rinsing off
the shampoo you can use a mild conditioner to remove of the effects. It
can be only done on kids as adults can bare the burning sensation for
sometime.

I'm sure the above mentioned steps will come very useful for you. Make
sure use it often until the lice is all gone. You can repeat this
procedure after 2 - 3 days and don't forget to wash the infected
person's clothes separately as you don't want the lice to catch others.

Some of main causes for Head Lice in Children

Head lice are a very common thing in school going children from the age
5 to 11. You may be a very good and caring parent like all parents is
but without your knowledge the lice can get into child's hair while at
school or play. That doesn't make you a bad parent, but some things are
beyond your control so it worth while to find out the causes and how
you can prevent them.

You can be calm and relaxed as head lice on your chills hair is not a
serious health risk or anything of that sort. It can be little painful
for smaller kids as the lice can make them itch their hair non stop.
Here's how you can identify and stop head lice children easily and
without you losing your patience.

Head lice nit: Nit is the eggs of the lice and can be seen with your
eye. When you shine a bright light on the hair, the lice usually runs
away and hides in the darker regions. You can very easily see the lice
eggs close to the scalp of the hair. You can take them out and kill
them with your bare hands using your nails.

Regular shampoo: There are recommended shampoos which can be used on
your child's hair like Nix or Rid. These shampoos are effective and can
be used in the treatment of lice. However I would strongly suggest you
take the advice of your doctor as you don't want to hurt your child in
the name of healing him/her. These products have severe chemicals that
can be suitable for some, but not for all children.

Don't just shampoo once and leave the hair as chances of it coming back
are fast. The female louse can lay 100 eggs every 10 days and you have
to start from scratch. You will have to often shampoo and massage your
child's hair to remove the lice completely. However I would strongly
suggest you take the advice of your doctor as you don't want to hurt
your child in the name of healing him/her. These products have severe
chemicals that can be suitable for some, but not for all children.

Lice combs: There are lice combs which you can get in the market. You
can use them after using lice treatment shampoos, doing this it removes
the louse nits from becoming adult. You can also use an ordinary comb
and keep repeatedly combing your hair and dip the comb in a glass of
alcohol to make sure the lice are killed.

Clean the lice items: Make sure you or your other children don't use
the combs, hats, and towels which the lice infected child is using. You
will have to wash all these items separately in hot water and dry them
out in the sun. Some items which can't be washed can be stored in
closed plastic bins for few weeks as the lice may die from starvation.

Head lice can be cured if you take the above steps seriously as head
lice can be easily passed from one child to the other.

Why Identifying Head Lice Early is Important?

For some this may be a new experience, identifying head lice is very
important and you have to under stand what you are looking for. You
would have heard people talking about lice flying here and there all
around you. Is this true? From this article you can learn all the facts
about the head lice, causes, identifying head lice, and remedies for
head lice problems.

What is a head louse and what are their causes?

The head louse is a small insect that feeds on human blood. It is black
in color and trust me on this, it can cling on to your hair tightly.
Head lice are caused by the infestation of hair with an insect called
Pediculus humanus capitis. It can spread through sharing infested items
like clothing, pillows, beds, combs, hairbrushes, caps, scarves, and
other personal ear phones or headphones. So try to avoid using things
that belong to people with head lice.

Identifying head lice is easy

It is really easy to identify head lice. If you ever notice your
children scratching their head often than there is a chance for your
child to be infested with head lice. Intensive itching is the main
symptom of head lice and it is caused when the lice bites but not when
it crawls. It bites to suck the blood and this creates an allergic
reaction on the scalp. This is when your child ends up scratching
his/her hair endlessly.

The urge to scratch is an early indication and should be aware that it
is the head lice causing such problems. If you don't take this matter
seriously, it may lead to infestation of the scalp and hair within few
days. You can see pinkish bumps and scars on the scalp and neck regions
which can cause sores on the skin.

Treatment and control

If you detect this problem early, it will be very easy to cure and
treat your children. In shops you can find more shampoos that remove
head lice, but they don't remove them completely and you can see the
lice returning back. Moreover, they are not safe to your kids as they
are made up of harmful chemicals and ingredients that may develop side
effects. You can use them however under the recommendation of your
doctor.

Try out some natural or herbal remedies to treat head lice completely.
Vinegar and petroleum jelly are quite effective in killing head lice
and their eggs. They form a formidable pair and are used very often to
kill lice at home. There is no point in just using chemicals and
shampoos to remove lice, you must prevent it from growing at home. You
can do that by cleaning and dry washing all your bed covers, pillows,
clothes, combs, and stuffed toys. The lice can return if it is clinging
to these things and when you keep the things clean and dry each time is
a good habit and prevents re-infestation.

Hence identifying head lice early is very important and will be useful
in eradicating the head lice and nits.

Tea Tree Oil - how can it cure Head Lice?

Head lice home remedies are proving to be quite popular alternatives to
counter the shampoos which are full of harmful chemicals and
insecticides. Tea tree oil mixed with certain ingredients is one of the
most powerful for destroying lice. Head lice are becoming more and more
difficult to destroy and it seems that just as you have gotten rid of
some of them the other instantly appears.

Previously the best solution was to buy a bottle of nit shampoo and
give your kid's a good wash with it and that would be the end. But
without you realizing the fact that these pests have become stronger
and those shampoos won't work and are proving to be less effective
against them. You have to repeat the lice treatments more often which
lice build more resistance.

You must be aware of the fact that unnecessary use of head lice
solutions and creams is something you should avoid. Not just for the
fact that over use is helping them build up immunity but because some
of the treatments can give you harmful side effects. So before you
decide to jump to decide what you want to do about your louse problem,
you need to make sure that it is definitely head lice that you have.

Having an itchy scalp does necessarily mean you do have lice. You
should regularly and thoroughly check your families hair if you know
that someone in their school has an infestation. They hide behind your
ears and in the nape of your neck so you should check these areas a
little more closely. Once you have identified them you can get to work
on destroying them.

Let's find out how to prepare the tea tree oil head lice treatment
mixture. A mixture of mayonnaise and olive oil can work well but the
tea tree oil head lice treatment is found to be almost head and
shoulders above them. You need to mix the ingredients properly to make
sure the mixture works properly,
* 3 table spoon of vegetable oil
* 2 teaspoon of castor oil
* 12 drops of neat tea tree oil

Mix it together and apply it evenly to the infected persons scalp and
make sure you have covered the affected areas. It is better to cover
the hair with a plastic shower cap and leave it on for couple of hours.
By doing this the oil and the lice can't come out. Next wash your hair
with a mild shampoo and condition, comb through with a fine toothed
comb.

There really is no need to expose your children to harmful chemicals
when you have home remedies which are safe for head lice treatments.

Head Lice Life Cycle - From Nit to Adult

You would have heard lot of stories and complains about head lice. Even
you would have come in contact with it. Thus it is essential to learn
and understand the head lice and its life cycle. In this article you
will learn about head louse, its eggs called as nits, and more
information on head lice cycle.

Head lice are caused by an infestation of the scalp and hair with a
parasitic insect called as Pediculus humanus capitis.

The Head Louse: The head louse is a small wingless parasite. Its
initial color is white as it feeds on the human blood, it appears red
or black. It measures about 2 to 3 mm. It does not have wings, and thus
cannot fly nor jump. But it can crawl quickly between the hairs and it
clings tightly to the hair with the help of 3 pairs of short legs.

The head louse can breathe through a hole that close themselves and
becomes resistant to water. It has a function of excreting through this
hole. The lice head has a short antennae and specialized mouthparts
that allow the head louse to perform piercing and sucking action. It
bites and sucks blood 2 to 4 times per day for meals that last about 30
minutes. It can live on the scalp for over 30 to 40 days.

The head louse can survive for more than 36 hours without the contact
of human body. For the lice to survive, it needs human host, blood to
feed, and temperature should be between 28 and 32°C with 70% to 80%
moisture. Thus it needs human host in order to survive.

Nits: The eggs of head lice are also called as nits. When laid they
appear like grain with caramel color and in white colour when they are
out of the egg.

These eggs or nits are difficult to find and measures approximately
about 0.8 mm and are firmly attached to the hair by a secretion of the
female louse. This secretion is glue like substance called cementum.
The head louse coats the base of the nit and the hair with cementum so
that the nit stays firmly attached to hair.

The female louse lays its eggs at the root of the hair very close to
the scalp. After sometime the egg hatches out, the empty shell of the
egg remains on the hair for few days or months. This empty shell
appears whitish and moves away from the root as the hair grows.

The life cycle of the louse: The female head lice can reproduce quickly
and the male lice can fertilize 18 females. Female lice can mate
several times with male lice during their adult life. This varies from
ten to forty days and lays 4 to 10 eggs or nits daily for about 5
weeks, and totally reproduces 100 to 300 eggs or nits.

The nits start hatching after 7 days and give birth to a nymph, also
called larvae. The larvae is similar to the adult but smaller in size.
It undergoes three molts and reaches the adult stage after 10 days. The
adult louse lives for 30 to 40 days.

Understanding the process of head lice cycle is very important in order
to eradicate them.

Causes of head lice - symptoms and treatment

The head lice are parasitic insects developed on the hair or scalp of a
person. These parasites are called as Pediculus humanus capitis. They
have sucking mouthparts that feed on human blood and lay eggs on body
hair. The bite of head lice causes intense itching that leads to
scratching of hair and scalp.
A Head louse is very common among school children, and transmits
through head to head contact. It also spreads through close personal
contact and sharing of the belongings. The most common symptom of head
louse is intense itching.

Causes of head lice
* Contact with people infected with head lice
* Head-to-head contact
* Body-to-body contact
* Using common pillows, blankets, combs and stuffed toys
* Sharing items, such as clothing, headphones, brushes, combs, hair
accessories, towels, etc
* Contact with contaminated furniture, like beds and closets

Symptoms of Head Lice

Lice on the scalp, body, clothing and other body hair are a common
symptom. Head lice infestations are characterized by the intense
itching caused by an allergic reaction to a toxin produced by the lice
saliva. The itching interferes with sleep and concentration. Sometimes
the repeated bites lead to skin eruptions or inflammation.

The swelling or inflammation of the neck glands and lymph nodes are
common symptoms of head lice. The body lice bites first seem to appear
as small red pimples or marks and may cause skin rashes. Intense
itching results in deep scratches around the shoulders, flanks, and
neck.

If the infestation continues and is not treated then the complications
may lead to headache, fever, and skin infection.

Treatment

If you find head lice in your children, treat her immediately. Before
starting the treatment, parents should be aware of the possible
allergic reactions to the medications. So, try testing a small section
of scalp for allergic reactions.

Use a vinegar rinse to loosen out the nits, and then wash your hair
with regular shampoo. It is possible for the eyebrows and eyelashes to
be getting infested. Treat them with petroleum jelly or a thick coat of
petroleum ointment for ten days.

Some other treatments for head lice: You can try this home remedy by
mixing a portion of olive oil with essential lavender oil and herbal
shampoos. You also have other chemicals like phenethyl propionate,
peppermint oil, and others. You can try this after consultation with
your doctor as some of these chemicals can be harmful for your child.

Now you know what the causes of head lice are, take immediate steps and
free your child from it.

Head Lice in School - Causes and Cures

When children go to school it is quiet common to get many ailments and
sicknesses. You are a parent will be quiet worried and concerned about
your child's health and well being. One of most common ailments
children can bring from school is head lice. As a parent you need to
educate yourself and have knowledge on these kinds of ailments as they
can come very useful if at all your child gets head lice from school.

You don't have to be a medical expert, but by reading the below ideas
and tips you can prevent your child from getting head lice from school.

Usually head lice appear on young children's hair of the age group 5 -
10 years. The reason for that is because they have many group
activities and sit in the same classroom with many students. Lice are
wingless, which means they can't fly, but instead are passed from child
to child. That can happen when they pull their friends hair and then
put the hand on their head.

In the case of girls especially it is better they have short hair as it
can reduce their chances of getting hair lice. When having long hair,
it can get very difficult to maintain it and when affected with lice,
it gets worse. It is better if your child has short hair as not only
you can maintain it easily but when her hair gets infested with lice,
you can easily treat it.

There are several ways your child can get head lice from school, but
the ultimate thing is that the lice get on to the hair. Head lice are
usually brown color and cause severe itching on the head. This is one
of the first symptoms you can find out that your child has got hair.
You can use a comb and once the lice falls on your hand, you can remove
and kill the lice.

The first thing to do when you notice lice on your hair is to consult a
doctor. Sure there are many treatments and remedies that I will be
given below, but as a precaution you can show your child to the doctor.
All children are not same and for some treatments may not suit your
child. You don't want to be causing any harm to your child by using
chemical shampoos on his/her hair and cause some other ailments.

You have shampoos like nix which claim to do the job, but I can assure
you that is not going to happen. However, regular oiling and using
shampoo for the hair can reduce the lice to a certain extent. There is
also a lice comb available both in the stores and online, the comb gets
and kills the lice and it only comes for $6.50 which is worth. The next
thing you need to make sure is to wash all the clothing and stuff they
use like pillow covers, bed sheets, towels, etc in hot water and dry
them in the hot sun.

This is a very effective method to kill lice and has worked. Like the
saying goes prevention is better than cure. When you follow this
method, chances of the lice surviving becomes less. When you follow the
above ideas and tips, I'm sure you can free your child of lice. Good
luck.

Olive Oil Treatment

You may be pleasantly surprised to observe just how effective head lice
olive oil treatment can be. It is said to work because olive oil
dissolves the exoskeleton of lice. That said let's take a more focused
approach to this kind of treatment.
An informal test was made by Harvard School of Public Health to measure
the effect olive oil had on adult lice and nymphs. The test showed that
lice completely submerged in olive oil lice stopped moving within five
minutes. 2/3 of the lice that were treated for one hour recovered, when
the testing time was two hours, all lice were killed and none
recovered. Any insect if submerged in oil for a longer period will
suffocate.

First cover your child' shoulders with a towel and apply olive oil to
the head. Cover child's head with a shower cap and keep it on
overnight. In the morning use a fine - toothed comb or a nit comb,
remove any lice. Repeat this every ten days (time it takes the nits to
hatch).

Take three tablespoons of olive oil and mix it your regular shampoo,
add to this one tablespoon of tea tree oil one tablespoon of eucalyptus
oil. Mix and apply to the hair, put the shower cap on and leave it on
for at least for 1 hour, after that rinse the hair. It is said that
even after 30 minutes of this treatment lice will be dead.

Lice Killing Recipe

o 175 ml of olive oil
o 20 drops of eucalyptus
o 20 drops of tea tree oil
o 20 drops of aniseed essential oil
o 10 drops of lemon oil
Thoroughly apply to the hair, leave it on at least for an hour and then
wash it off. Many individuals say it's the best natural lice killing
home remedy.

Lice Killing Recipe 2

o 2 ounces (60 ml) of olive oil
o 20 drops of tea tree oil
o 10 drops of lavender oil
o 10 drops of lemon oil
o 10 drops of rosemary oil

Stir the mixture together and massage it trough the scalp, wrap a towel
around your head and wait for an hour. Later, remove the towel and wash
the hair with a regular shampoo ( you'll notice dead lice falling of
your hair). Use a lice comb, preferably metal to remove out the rest of
the lice and nits. Inspect the head for lice the next day and repeat
the treatment if necessary.

Olive oil remedies are not toxic but they are potent so use caution
when using on babies small children or pregnant women . Feel free to
use them any time as often as you like, and the best of all; lice
cannot become immune to it.

Head Lice Infestation

You can detect head lice by looking closely trough the hair , this can
be a difficult task since lice move quickly and there are not many of
them .
one way to detect sis to move the fingers through the hair and if you
feel something moving beneath your fingers, then you can be sure that
it's lice, not dandruff or some hair product derbies. However the best
way to detect head lie is to use a metal fine - toothed lice comb. You
should comb the entire scalp. After each time comb passes through the
hair examine the teeth of the comb for living lice. When doing this use
the magnifying glass to prevent misdiagnosis.

head lice infestation

However, if you determine that nits are present close to the scalp ,
you have an classic head lice infestation, if the nits are ¼ of inch
(0,5cm) or less from scalp then you may be infested for a longer period
of time.

Head lice symptoms
Common symptoms of head lice presence is itching, which normally occurs
and intensifies 3 - 4 weeks after initial infestation. When lice feed
on blood from your scalp they inject antigenic components (allergens)
from their saliva. An antibody called immunoglobulin E ( igE) found in
your blood fight against these allergens. That is when itching occurs.
For some the irritation is mild, for others a rash may develop. Beware
, too much scratching may lead to bacterial infection. However some
individuals don't have these reactions to allergens and may never itch,
this can lead to even heavier infestation .

Treatments
There are many ways to treat lice, you can use some of over - the
counter medications like medicated shampoos, lotion or cream rinses. If
you decide to use some of these, then it is very important to follow
the directions exactly as stated, since these products are insecticides
they ca do you more damage than good if not using as the manufacturer
suggest.
Also don't use same medication more than three times on a person. Lice
can develop resistance to insecticide so if the treatment doesn't work
consult with your doctor about using another medication or start using
some of natural treatments.
There are many home remedies that you can try out and many families
reported that they really work. Vinegar, Mayo, Olive Oil, Petroleum
Jelly (combined with a lice comb) have been reported as successful in
treating head lice. It's a safer and cheaper alternative to
insecticides.

head louse

Things to remember
Lice can spread very quickly from person to person, so avoid head to
head contact and don't share head gear . if someone in your family is
infested, check others members on a daily basis. Treat your home, wash
all bedding, carpets , upholstered furniture, combs, head gear and
toys.

Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
